Welcome to the beautiful art of French Handsewing.
Sarah Howard Stone has long been considered the pioneer and major driving
force in bringing back the lost of art beautiful French and Heirloom clothing in
America. Today, she is nationally known as the Master of French Handsewing.
Sarah has served on the faculty of Embroiderer's Guild of America and the
Valentine Assembly. She has traveled extensively over the years teaching and
conducting seminars on this art. Her books, French Handsewing and French
Handsewing for Infants have been revered and treasured by thousands of sewers
all over the world.
Once again, we are offering these beautiful hardbound volumes of instruction for
sewers interested in this art form. Even if you do not sew, they are simply a treasure to
own and appreciate. From delicate little girl's dresses to beautiful christening gowns,
the look of quality batiste and French laces and insertions bring the past into the
present, creating treasured family heirlooms to be worn for generations.
